Boil water advisory lifted

The boil water advisory for Chrisman Lane from Chrisman Spur to U.S. 150 issued on Monday by the City of Danville was lifted as of 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. For questions, call The Danville Water Treatment Plant at (859) 238-1241 with any questions.

Meetings

Boyle and Mercer County Joint Jail Committee — 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the Boyle County Fiscal Court room. Items on the agenda include: jailer’s report; discuss employee point system; Shepherd’s HOuse IOP update; policy and procedure manual update; four full-time deputies; tracking system providers; vote on RFQ consultant.

Danville-Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau — special called meeting, 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at McKinney Conference Center, 105 East Walnut St. The agenda will be the hotel feasibility study kick off meeting with Kyle Talente of RKG and Associates to review project goals and objectives and define field research.

Boyle County Fiscal Court — personnel and boards committee called meeting, 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5 in room 106 at the courthouse. The agenda includes Planning and Zoning appointment, EDP appointments and tax administration positions.

Fort Harrod Back Country Horsemen (FHBCH) — 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at the Mercer County Extension Office. FHCH members Sarah Waddell and James Rogan will discuss the fun and challenges of endurance riding. Also, FHBCH members will discuss activities, including trail work days, upcoming trail rides and support for equine-related groups. FHBCH serves members from the central Kentucky area. Fish fry and silent auction

Alum Springs First Church of God will be having a fish fry and silent auction from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at the church located at 3758 Alum Springs Road, Danville. Fish dinner is $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-12.
