Amanda Lee Ross
1971-2017
Amanda Lee Ross, 46, died Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 27, 1971 to Gary Sr. and Connie Gordon Ross. She was a graduate of Tates Creek High School and attended Lexington Community College. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and a former employee of Cinemark Theatres and a Volunteer at the VA Hospital. Amanda loved to needlepoint, read, and work word search books.
Amanda was diagnosed with Common Variable Immunodeficiency as a child. Her CVID resulted in a brain abscess, renal failure and many other medical problems throughout her life. She battled CVID, but never lost her smile or will to live and desire to make someone else’s day better. Friends came to see her smile to brighten their day, often bringing her little presents to brighten her day. She loved her family, friends, and her dogs, and made her life as full as possible. She was an inspiration to all.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, James and Veda Ross and Eugene and Maxine Gordon.
In addition to her parents, Gary and Connie Ross, she is survived by two brothers, Gary D. (Heidi) Ross Jr. of McKinney, Texas and Mark D.
