STANFORD — A Lincoln County juvenile allegedly stabbed two other juveniles Sunday night during a drug-related incident, according to the Stanford police chief.

It was a little before 6 p.m. on Nov. 12 when Stanford police officers responded to a reported stabbing at a residence on Foster Lane, according to Police Chief Zach Middleton.

When they arrived, officers discovered two juvenile victims had been stabbed, he said.

Both victims were transported to the hospital — and believed to be in stable condition — while police pursued the suspect, also a juvenile, who had fled the scene before they arrived.

The investigation led officers to a Danville residence, Middleton said, where the suspect was located a few hours after the assault in Stanford.

The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first-degree assault, terroristic threatening and other drug-related charges.

“The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected for all three juveniles involved,” Middleton said. “It’s a sad situation. This is another drug-related incident involving juveniles, and this time it resulted in violence.”

Earlier this month, a narcotics investigation led by the Stanford Police Department resulted in drug-trafficking charges against five Lincoln County students — all juveniles. That investigation is also ongoing at this time.

Middleton said while he could not currently elaborate on the drug-related charges, there is more to the story.

“All parties are expected to be OK but there’s more to the story we can’t go into at this moment,” he said. “As our guys continue to investigate, we expect all three to face some charges.”
