Viola M. Jackson

1920-2017

Viola M. Jackson was born Sept. 8, 1920 in Danville, KY and departed this earthly life on Dec. 10, 2017, to join her late husband, Dr. Chris Jackson Sr. Viola was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Harrod; brother, Edward Selby; parents, Bill and Mary Selby; stepsons, Dr. Mack Jackson and Dr. Chris Jackson, Jr. Just before she and Chris retired to Fort Myers in 1981, she earned her Real Estate license. Viola remained energetic; she joined VIP Realty and worked another 10 years. She was very active in the Continental Women’s club for many years, serving as president from 1989 – 1990.

Viola is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Negola (Ed) of Fort Myers; stepsons, Dr. Elmer Jackson (Suzi) of Danville, KY and Dr. John Jackson (Becky) of Aledo, TX; daughter-in-law, Susan Jackson of Danville, KY; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends. She will be remembered for her love of Continental Women and her skillful Bridge playing.

Funeral will be 2 PM Friday, Dec. 15th, Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, Fort Myers, FL. Viola will be laid to rest with her beloved Chris at Naples Memorial Gardens.
