The woman who rear-ended the vehicle of a Perryville man during a July crash, resulting in his death, was indicted on a charge of second-degree manslaughter by a Fayette County grand jury on Tuesday.
According to the Herald-Leader, Robert Myers, 56 of Perryville, was killed on July 4, when his car was rear-ended by Marisol Lewis, 38, of Lexington, on Versailles Road near the Keeneland Race Course. The cause of death was determined to be blunt-force trauma.
Lewis was indicted Tuesday.
Speed was believed to be a factor in the crash, according to police at the time.
Myers, a well-known chef in Lexington, worked at the Lexington Country Club. He lived on a farm with his wife and eight children outside of Perryville, where he baked bread, which was sold and also used in the kitchen at the country club.
Lewis is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 19. Second-degree manslaughter is a class C felony.
