Our pets of the week are Sadie and Peggy.
Sadie is a sweet 4-year-old short-haired tabby with white markings including a pretty white stripe on her nose. She was an owner-surrender from a family that was unable to keep all their pets. Sadie has adjusted to the change, although she is not super outgoing. She is content to keep an eye on things from inside her kennel and hang out with her feline buddies. Can you give Sadie the second chance at a forever home that she deserves?
Peggy is a cute 1-year-old black and white terrier mix. She has a medium length wiry coat. Peggy was found as a stray and wearing a collar, but no owner has come forward to take her home. So Peggy needs a fresh start in a new home. She just weighs about 15 pounds and will make a great indoor companion. Come meet this girl and see if you would like to make her part of your family!
Mark your calendar! Join us on Saturday, Oct. 29, for Woof or Treat at the Boyle County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This fun event will benefit the DBCHS Mutts With Manners program where shelter dogs are trained by inmates at Northpoint prison. There will be a costume competition for dogs and a pair costume competition for canine and handler. There will be fun doggie games and activities. So plan to come and have a howling great time!!
