Police news: Juveniles injured while riding ATV in Jackson Park

Two juveniles were injured after riding an all-terrain vehicle in Jackson Park at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Danville Police Department, the juveniles, 14 and 12, were riding together on the ATV when they struck a concrete block and flipped. Both were ejected onto a concrete pad in the park.
One teen, a 14-year-old, was treated for a shoulder injury and transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center via ambulance. A 12-year-old was treated for a head injury and air-lifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
No update was available on the extent of the injuries to the juveniles. Police said is unclear why the teens were riding in the park.
The Boyle County EMS and Danville City Fire Department also responded to the scene.
