Dear Editor,

The crucial role that the Boyle County Detention Center fills in our community is much too important to leave to inexperienced people.  That’s why I strongly encourage you to join me in support of Brian Wofford for jailer.

Brian has the training, experience and professional leadership that gives us confidence that the detention center will remain in capable hands. He has served in the Marines’ military police, then in law enforcement both in Lexington and in our sheriff’s department. For the last four years as deputy jailer, he has wisely and successfully responded to the challenges of addiction and mental illness, that our detention center meets.

He has the vision, the management experience and the heart for firm, compassionate and effective team work, that will enable our communities to move forward under his continued guidance.  

We are fortunate to have such a well-qualified candidate for jailer. Many families who have enjoyed the benefit of his help as deputy jailer will be thankful for your vote for Brian Wofford, and so will I.
