1947-2018

Stanley William Johnson, 70, died Thursday. He was born in Parksville on November 13, 1947 to the late James W. and Vada Mae Simpson Johnson. Stanley attended Parksville and Junction City schools. He was self-employed logger, junked cars and was a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Leo Johnson and Sanders Johnson. He is survived by his children, Bryan Johnson, Stanley (Crystal) McCarty, Sabrina Johnson and Daveida (Jon) Smith; five sisters, Cricket Lynn, Brenda (Robert) Bowen, Linda (Jim) Clarkston, Barbara (Joe) Brown, Janie Cox; two aunts, Nannie Cox and Elsie (Bob) Tamme; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Buford Edwards II will officiate. Pallbearers will be Isaih Preston, James ‘Jimmy’ Clarkston Jr., Allen Moore, Robert Bowen Jr., Dustin Miller, Shane Presley and Melvin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be James ‘Jim’ Clarkston Sr., Donny Shannon, Jack Byrd and Billy Byrd. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 pm-2 pm, Tuesday prior to the service.
