Health care foundation giving defibrillators to DPD
The Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation will be donating 10 portable defibrillators to the Danville Police Department on Thursday, July 12 at 9 a.m.
The $15,000 donation will place a portable defibrillator in 10 police cruisers. Many times, police officers are the first responders on a scene and they will now be able to provide life-saving care if a person is having a cardiac event.
The Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation funds projects throughout the Ephraim McDowell Health system and the communities it serves. The Foundation is especially excited about this project, as it will support first responders as they care for the community and improve the outcome for patients.
