The GCAC fundraiser, Summer Sizzle Karaoke Contest, has announced the winners from week 3. Money raised from this event goes toward the renovation of the new Community Art Center across from the Grand Theater. The preliminary rounds are held every Saturday through September 8, 2018 at Leo’s Restaurant on Lexington Street. Entry fee is $20.00 for your first try and $10.00 each subsequent try. Each weekend 3 contestants will pass on to the finals in September. Cash and prizes will be presented on finals night. Sign up is at 7:00 pm. Winners on July 21 were 1st place Clay Cheatham, 2nd Kim Penix, 3rd Place duet of Tyler Clements and Dorothy Wethington.
