With just three business days left for candidates to file for offices not included in May’s primary elections in Boyle County, two towns don’t have enough candidates to fill their city councils after the November general election.

As of Wednesday morning, Boyle County Clerk Trille Bottom said three candidates had filed to run for the six available seats on the Junction City Council. They are Kenny Baldwin, Stephen Martin and Sonya Kitchen. All three are current members of the council.

Only two people had filed to run for the six seats on Perryville City Council. They are Carlos Miller and Conan Dallman, neither of whom are current council members. The Perryville mayor race had only one candidate, Brian R. Caldwell. Current mayor Anne Sleet had not filed for re-election.
