Dear Editor,

I am writing in support of a gentleman that I have been honored to know for many years as a friend, as a member of the downtown Danville business community, as a valued and active fellow member of the Kiwanis Club of Danville and as someone who has given heart and soul in service to Danville Schools. Steve Becker has shown our community tremendous consistency and devotion to the professional manner in which he has served on the Danville Board of Education and he is now seeking to serve another term.

Steve’s approach to his role as a board member is one that is very practical and informed and always, I repeat always, in the best interest of the students, faculty and taxpayers that he serves. If you have had the privilege of talking with him about Danville Schools, it only takes a moment to experience the true passion that Steve feels for every aspect of the school system-from academics to athletics, to each of the school campuses within the district and for all the students and faculty that entails.

I encourage everyone to follow Steve Becker on Facebook where he frequently shares updates on the happenings at each of the school campuses as well as the activities of the Danville Board of Education. Steve is also now sharing, via Facebook and other media outlets, his goals as a candidate for re-election to the board. A review of just six of those goals tells us that Steve Becker is the man for the job.
