Central Kentucky Ag Credit has partnered in purchasing 4-H and FFA livestock projects from the county fair youth investment livestock auction. CKAC partnered with both Caverndale Farms and ProAg to purchase two hogs at the Boyle County 4-H and FFA Youth Livestock Investment sale.

The hog purchased by Caverndale Farms was donated to Sunrise Children’s Services. The hog purchased by ProAg was donated to Grace Café.

Grace Cafe is a pay-what-you-can community restaurant, serving locally-sourced and nutritional food to their patrons, regardless of their ability to pay. Menu items have a suggested donation amount rather than a set price.

“The 4-H program teaches our students the value of hard work and community service,” said Paul Purcell, Danville Ag Credit loan officer. “These kids did an excellent job producing animals of the highest-quality. I can’t imagine a better tribute to their effort than sharing the harvest with our community. We simply followed the example set by these young people.”
