I first met Gary Chidester when he was a young boy enrolled in my Baptist Boys club at Calvary Baptist Church.

I remember being struck by Gary’s brightness, eagerness to learn, and his respectful and polite attitude. He was obviously well-raised. He still exhibits those traits today.

Gary put down roots in Boyle County, marrying the lovely Patti and together raising four beautiful daughters.

He founded a successful landscaping business, while staying busy in church work, community organizations and service on local boards.

Gary has always been a “people person” and he carries a strong sense of fair play and hard work. The only skeleton in his closet is the one he takes out for Halloween decorations.

As your county judge-executive, he will bring to the job the youth and energy to see through a long range plan from preliminary concept to final completion, and do so with complete commitment.
