Admirals improve to 6-0 after comeback at Western Hills

FRANKFORT — Trailing Western Hills 24-21 at halftime, Danville’s boys basketball team opened the second half with a 9-0 run and never trailed again, beating WHHS 57-46 in Frankfort.
Danville’s Ethan Wood had a three-point play at the end of the third quarter, giving the Admirals a 34-29 advantage going into the final period.
Leading 38-35 with 5:37 remaining in the game, the Admirals’ Dante Hayden scored 10 straight points to give Danville a 48-35 lead with 4:27 remaining.
Western Hills had a six-point run to pull within eight points, 54-46, with 1:16 left, but that’s as close as the Wolverines got.
