1985-2016
Bethany Gail Preston Floyd, 31, of Price Court, Lancaster, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at her home. Born Oct. 17, 1985, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Kevin and Amy Preston of Lancaster and Kathy Moores Preston of Nicholasville.
She was a graduate of Garrard County High School and Eastern Kentucky University and was a member of Bethel Christian Church.
She was the mother of two wonderful daughters, Hannah and Sarah Floyd, both of Lancaster, who will miss her every day for the rest of their lives. Other survivors include two brothers, Ryan (Lindsey) Preston of Lancaster and Clay (Crystal) Cocanougher of Burgin; two nieces, Emma Rose Preston of Lancaster and Chelsea Cocanougher of Burgin; two nephews, Eric and Daniel Cocanougher of Burgin; maternal grandparents, Tom and Molly Moores of Nicholasville; and a very special great-aunt, Almeda “Meme” Bruner who shared an unbreakable bond of love. Many aunts, uncles and cousins all loved her very much and will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James E. and Doris Rose Preston, and a special great-uncle, Robert “Nuck” Bruner.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Best, Rev. Dave Smith and Rev. Darrell Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be R.D. Middleton, Nick Floyd, Ricky Long, Michael Wentworth, Dudley Hacker and Scott Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Helen Wells, Denisha Johnson, Georgia Long, Bill and Nancy Morrow, Amy Domidion and Erica Caudill.
