Homemakers planning international dinner
The Boyle County Homemakers Clubs are celebrating Cultural Arts Day with an international dinner featuring Irish stew at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the County Extension Office, located at 99 Corporate Drive. Tickets are $5 each and reservations are limited to 80 people. The public is invited. The menu includes Irish stew, salad, vegetable dish, dessert and a drink. Deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 1 by calling (859) 236-4484.
Irish dancer and Kentucky native Arianna Gorton will provide the entertainment.
Correction
In the opinion column “‘Slave economy’ is why South couldn’t hope to win Civil War” that appeared on the opinion page on Jan. 30, the name of Frederick Law Olmsted was misspelled.
