Members of the group Indivisible Danville organized and participated in what was called a “President’s Day protest to fight Trump’s fake crisis and racist deportation forces” in front of the Boyle County Courthouse on Monday.

A handful of people held up signs and chanted slogans about President Trump and their opinions about him declaring a national emergency in order to fund a wall at the border with Mexico.

Some passersby honked their horns to show their support or gave the “thumbs up” hand gesture. Others drove by ignoring the group. At least one person gave an obscene hand gesture toward the protesters, and a young man who walked by chanted, “Build the wall!”
