Ruby Louise Carey 

1934-2016 

Ruby Louise Carey, 81, of Harrodsburg, wife of Bill Carey, died Thursday, Nov. 10 at their home.

Born Dec. 24, 1934, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, to the late Leslie and Maude (Releford) Cannada. 

She was a Customer Service Representative for R.V. Cablevision, and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.

Ruby is survived by her husband, William C. “Bill” Carey; one daughter, Donna (Dr. Jack) Hankla of Danville; one sister, Dorothy (Carroll) Gritton of Harrodsburg; one grandson, John William Hankla of Danville.

Ruby was preceded in death by her Sister, Mary Eva Darland.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Justin Kendrick, Lee Adam Turner, Bryan Turner, Joey Gritton, Jeffrey Darland, Jamie Goodpaster, David Woodward, Charlie Carpenter, Bill Johnson, Mike Turner and Buddy Bugg.

Funeral service will be held Monday, at noon at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Carl McCray. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
