Caring Friends Fellowship meeting

The May monthly meeting of Caring Friends Fellowship will be Sunday, May 19 at Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 214 Lincoln Ave., Danville. The ladies of the church will serve the meal beginning  at 12:30 p.m. A remembrance service will follow, that will conclude by 2:30 p.m. All widows and widowers are welcome to attend.  Please RSVP to Angie Deering at (859) 516-1618  to assist the ladies in the planning the meal.

Danville First Church of God  holding  yard sale

Danville First Church of God will be holding a big yard sale on Friday and Saturday, May 10 & 11 – 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be lots of yard sale items, something for everyone.  Our ladies’ ministry will also have some concession items for sale. This will be an inside sale in the church fellowship hall at Danville First Church of God, 3220 Harrodsburg Road, Danville. Proceeds will benefit this summer’s mission trip to Guatemala.

Grace Free Will Baptist Church holding sale

There will be a church yard sale, bake sale, craft sale, and Memorial Day flower sale, May 3-4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., each day. Quilts, baby quilts, and more quilts, candies, pies, cakes, plus cemetery floral vases and headstone saddles. Lots of yard sale items, including household items and clothing in all sizes. Grace Free Will Baptist Church, 4281 Haley Road, Lexington. Take Exit 87 off I-64 east, .25 miles north on the left.

Fish fry

Fairview Christian Church in Paint Lick will hold a Fish Fry on Saturday, May 4 from 5 to 7 p.m.  Meal includes: fish, hush puppies, cole slaw, fries and desserts with drink. All for $8. Kids under 12 will be $5.
