Herbert Clay “Herb” Donaldson, Jr., 72, of Danville died June 2, 2019 surrounded by his family. Born February 1, 1947, in Danville to the late Herbert Clay and Maxine Vahle Donaldson, Sr. Herb was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, active in Ducks Unlimited, and owned Exquisite Jewelry. He was a jeweler for over 50 years. Herb graduated from Franklin County High School and attended both Morehead State University and Western Kentucky University. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Herb was predeceased by his sister, Judith Woolums.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie Donaldson; his son, Clay Donaldson; his business associate, Angela (Mark) Taylor; his nieces, Tammy (Mike) Fields, Kim (Richard) Smith; and a host of friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Rev. Rob Kernodle and Rev. Basil Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville.
