Dear Editor,

Last Tuesday, a large number of community members came together to serve a Thanksgiving dinner to over 150 local first responders. Hope Network and Boyle County ASAP planned the meal to say thanks to professionals in our community whose work has been complicated by the current drug crisis.  So many contributed food, monetary donations and time to a meal that recognized some of our most essential working citizens. 

A big thanks goes to The Showroom, which donated the wonderful space for the event.

During this Thanksgiving week, we encourage you to continue to express your appreciation to our local law enforcement members, EMS, hospital emergency room staff, detention center staff, coroner and protective services social workers. They deserve our continuing support for jobs well done in challenging circumstances.
