Lonnie Richard Maggard

1943-2019

Lonnie Richard Maggard, 76, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.

Born on May 11, 1943, in Broughtontown, Kentucky to the late Emmett Maggard and the late Adessie Smith Maggard. He worked in maintenance and mechanics as a factory worker for Corning Glass in Danville, Kentucky followed by Philips Lighting Co. in Danville, Kentucky for 43 years. He was a member of Stanford Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Sharmae Seagroves Maggard of Stanford, Kentucky; one son, Kenneth Richard Maggard of Stanford, Kentucky; one sister, Sherry Stoke (Jack) of Covington, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Kortnee Elizabeth Maggard; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Emmett Lee Maggard; and one sister, Sue Helen Reynolds.

A one day service has been scheduled for Thursday, June 27, 2019. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, Kentucky with Shelby Roy Hopkins officiating the service. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Kentucky.

Cremation rites have been honored.
