Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church

The annual Feast of Corpus Christi was celebrated on Sunday, June 23, with a traditional procession carrying the body of Christ from Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church to Constitution Square. The public witness to Catholic belief in the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is a sign of hope for our whole community.

Pope Urban IV established this feast day over 750 years ago. With charity he wrote, “We think suitable and worthy that, at least once a year, especially to confound the lack of faith and the infamy of heretics, a more solemn and honorable memory of the Sacrament be held.”

So with much joy our priest, deacons, crucifer, acolyte, Knights of Columbus, choir, parish council members and parish families became instruments to evangelize a world who needs to know.
