LC Woman’s Missionary Union fall rally
Liz Encinia, the new Executive Director of Kentucky Woman’s Missionary Union, will be the guest speaker on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at the Lincoln County WMU fall rally. It will be held at Stanford Baptist Church starting at 6 p.m. with a salad fellowship in the Family Life Center and moving to the sanctuary at 6:45 p.m. for the meeting. Liz is from Texas and has much experience in WMU work. Come meet her as we welcome her to Kentucky WMU. The mission project for the fall is collecting good, clean, used or new quilts and blankets for those in need in our county during cold weather. Everyone is invited to help with this project. Please bring them to the meeting or drop them off at the Lincoln County Baptist Building, 4160 US 27 South.
First Baptist Church Davistown homecoming
First Baptist Church Davistown in Lancaster will have homecoming services on Sunday, Sept. 1. Morning service will start at 11:30 a.m. Guest preacher will be H. Felix Ross from Bethel Baptist Church in Lexington. Afternoon service will start at 3:30 p.m. with guest preacher, Rev. Nath’l Moore of First Baptist African Church in Lexington.
Pleasant Valley Baptist to celebrate anniversary/homecoming
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1597 Boones Creek Road, Lancaster will be observing its 154th anniversary/homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 3 p.m. Guest will be Pastor Robert Coulter and congregation of First Baptist Church, Boneyville. Dinner will be served. Joseph Shea Brown is the pastor.
Haven Care fundraising banquet

McCormack Church homecoming
The McCormack Church homecoming events will begin with an 11:30 a.m. luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Kentucky Depot restaurant in Stanford and end with the 11 a.m. Sunday morning services and potluck lunch at the church on Sept. 1. The Rev. Doug Simpson, pastor, will deliver the sermon.
TeamKID Kickoff at Gethsemane Baptist Church
A TeamKID Fall Kickoff will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 123 Quisenberry Ave. The kickoff will include free food, games with inflatables, water slide and dunking booth and much more.
