Recently attorney general, Daniel Cameron, and small business owner Evan Hansen wrote opinions. They both expressed their concerns about the effect of COVID-19 on our country. Cameron’s compassionate concern for victims of both spousal and child abuse stand in stark contrast to Hansen‘s concern for its effects on the economy.  

Hansen tries to reassure his readers by saying “America has endured pandemics before.“ He disregards the directions of scientists and doctors of infectious diseases by suggesting we carry on business as usual. He seems willing to jeopardize the lives of millions of Americans. This cost would be immeasurable!
