Forest Montgomery “Pete” Parker 

1919-2016

Forrest Montgomery “Pete” Parker, 97, died Thursday. Born Oct. 9, 1919 in Boyle Co., he was the son of the late “H.E” and Edith Franklin Parker. 

Forrest was a member of the First Church of God, a farmer and he loved the outdoors. 

He was predeceased by a son, Gary Wayne Parker, a brother, Charles “Zeke” Parker and a sister, Ruth Mae Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys “Allie” Parker; two daughters, Naomi Carol (the late Billy) Devine of Danville and Rebecca Ann (Eddie Layton) Settles of Parksville; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville.

Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.  

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m prior to the service. 

Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice or the First Church of God.
