1955-2020

Phillip Leon Smock, 64, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Phillip was the husband of Charlotte Rae Holt Smock for 9 years and was born December 6, 1955 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Sam and Jean Wiggins Smock.

Phillip was a member of the Baptist Faith and was the former head-custodian at Boyle County Middle School. He enjoyed politics, loved old 1960’s and 1970’s Rock music, was a former motorcycle racer and like to tinker with old motorcycles with the goal of rebuilding them some day. He was most proud of his faith, reading the Bible and Gospel music.

In addition to his wife, Charlotte, Phillip is survived by three children, Gwynndolin Howard, Jonathon Smock, Jonie (Rodger) Henderson, a sister, Mary Beth (Jack) Wilson, and a granddaughter, Angel Smock.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2020 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Bro. Jr. Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Holt Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Walden Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Clem, Gary Pike, Brandon Phillips, James Wilson, James Lowery, and Dennis Williams.

Honorary bearers will be Sammy Wilson, Rodger Henderson, Reed, Cole, Trey, Cook Lanter, Alex Patton, and Hunter Ellis.
