Barbara Ann DeChristopher Waters, 91, of Danville, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Born August 28, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Alfred DeChristopher and Carmela Germano DeChristopher. She was retired from nursing at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. She was a graduate of Long Island College Hospital School of Nursing and a member of the alumni association. She completed her post graduate work at St. John’s University.
In addition, she was the Boyle County Ombudsman for 5 years and taught CNA classes. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Danville and was a Red Cross Volunteer and a Kentucky Colonel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Rip” Waters and her son, H. Randall Waters.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher R. Waters and E. Jonathan (Sandy) Waters, both of Danville, five grandchildren, Ashley Waters (Brad) Gordon, Isaac J. (Stephanie) Waters, Aaron D. (Caroline) Waters, Jared (Matthew) Waters and Rachel Waters, daughter-in-law, Adrienne Folker Waters and eight great-grandchildren.
