Thank you, Preston and Kathy Miles

I write today to commend a few members of our very special community. I enjoy walking and jogging around Danville and months ago I noticed a sign on a trailhead thanking Preston Miles for his work.
A few weeks ago, I saw Kathy Miles’ name and photo with a group who work to keep Bellevue Cemetery clean and beautiful.
I started thinking about the many ways Preston and Kathy touch Danville, from caring for our environment to making sure those with softer voices are recognized.
I am thankful to live in such an active and engaged community — and we don’t have what we have without the help of these volunteers. Thank you, Preston and Kathy — and all the others — who contribute to our local area.
