Bettina Mae Anness Cox, 89, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022. She was born in Mercer County, Kentucky on February 18, 1933 to the late Warren and Lola Lewis Anness and was the wife of the late William Samuel Cox who passed in 1985.
Bettina was a homemaker and member of Parksville Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, rescuing dogs, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a caring heart and was always looking after others.
Survivors are five children, Mary Ann (Tom) Hollon, Jessie (Jim) Huff, Warren (Brenda) Cox, Mike (Christine) Cox, Frances (Carl) Leffew, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Jessie Worthington.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bettina was preceded in death by 3 children, William and Henry Cox, Charlotte Ulmer, and two brothers.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Walden Funeral Home with Phillip Coffman and Tom Hollon officiating. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tim and Greg Hollon, Wally Cox, Sam Huff, Rhonald Ulmer and Shawn Catt.
Honorary bearers will be Ronnie Ulmer, Jim Huff, William Hollon, John Grigsby, Alex Cox, Nathan Cox, Bryson Ulmer-Catt, Bowden Huff, Aiden Huff, and Bentley Burdette.
