The City of Danville is changing the type of utility invoice customers receive in the mail. Beginning with utility bills due August 10, customers will receive a full page invoice in an envelope. A return envelope will also be included.
The city currently sends out the bills on blue index cards with no envelope. The amount due is covered by only a thin strip, and the bills have only basic information. Customers have had problems with those small cards getting stuck together and people receiving other people’s bills.
The new bills on 8×11 inch paper will provide more information like usage reports for previous months.
Customers will no longer be receiving delinquent notices in the mail.
