Seven home games and a challenging conference schedule highlight UK’s football schedule in 2023 that was announced Tuesday. The Wildcats will begin the season with three home games, including a visit from a regional rival.
The schedule, which includes opening the season at home vs. Ball State, EKU and Akron, followed by a road contest at Vanderbilt, gets decidedly more challenging after the first month.
Home games are Florida, Missouri, Tennessee and, for the first time since 2015, Alabama.
The road trips include stops at Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Louisville.
The Wildcats open conference play in week four, at Vanderbilt, then return home to defend its two-game winning streak against Florida on Sept. 30. The following week, Kentucky will travel to Georgia on Oct. 7, before returning home to host Missouri on Oct. 14.
UK will have a bye on Oct. 22, then play host to Tennessee on Oct. 28, followed by at Mississippi State on Nov. 4, home against Alabama on Nov. 11, and back-to-back road games at South Carolina on Nov. 18 and Louisville on Nov. 25.
