Danny Ray Collier, 85, of Danville, KY, passed away at The Willows in Harrodsburg peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2022, after a long illness. He was born in Jessamine County on August 25, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Margaret Collier. Continuing in this life to love and cherish him are his daughters, Bridgett Collier (Michael Nickoson), and Sharon Edwards (Terry Edwards); his son, Danny A. Collier (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Christa Edwards, Michael Tyler Edwards, Kameron Collier, and Bridgette Kennedy Collier.
Mr. Collier was retired as the Regional Manager of Western Kentucky Gas/Atmos Energy. He had a love for his community and was civically engaged, having served as President of the Danville Boyle County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Danville Boyle County Fair and Horseshow Board, President of the Kiwanis Club of Danville where he was awarded Kiwanian of the year, and served on the Bluegrass Regional Private Industry and Development Council.
