Calvin Ray King, 85, of Parksville, passed away November 12, 2022. He was born December 16, 1936 in Parksville, Kentucky to the late Herstal and Ollie Pearl King. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruby Louise Shepperson King. Calvin was a cattle and tobacco farmer and was a master at floor and ceiling tile. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved to sing and play guitar, and was a Duke basketball and Cowboys football fan. Calvin was a faithful husband and adored his children and grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Donnie Ray King of Boyle County, Johnny Darrell King (Laura) of Parksville, and Mark Jeffrey King of Parksville; two daughters, Carolyn Marie Murphy (Johnny) of Stanford and Rebecca Mae Crowe (Jay) of Parksville; a brother, Gary King (Pat) of Parksville; grandchildren, Tracy King, Frances Neal, Kevin King, Brent Cornett, Dustin Cornett, and Katie Crowe and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Bradley, KJ, Kearstin, Austin, Kadence, Reyna, Emera, Millie Rose, and Lilah Raye. Calvin is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, David Allen King and siblings, Curtis King, Minnie Collins, Lenora Ferrell, Joyce Cochran and Gayle Hogue. Funeral services will be 1pm Thursday, November 17, 2022 with Bro. Junior Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Pallbearers will be KJ King, Jay Crowe, Kevin King, Bradley Elder, Brent Cornett, Dustin Cornett and Johnny Murphy.
