Junction firefighters respond to smoke on Lausman Avenue

Firefighters spray a fire extinguisher on smoldering clothes outside a home on Lausman Avenue in Junction City Wednesday morning. Firefighters from Junction City were called to the house at about 10:52 a.m., when residents had to evacuate due to smoke. The source of the smoke was contained to one area of the bedroom and smoldering clothing was removed.

The cause had not been determined Wednesday, Junction City Fire Major Dewayne Taylor said. Firefighters from Boyle County and Danville were called in to aid.
