A Lancaster man was arrested by Danville police Friday night for allegedly trafficking in illegal drugs.
Jordan D. Shoemaker, 27, has been charged with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine; first-degree possession of methamphetamine; carrying a concealed deadly weapon; possession of drug paraphernalia; and having a prescription not in its original container.
According to Danville Police, officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked behind Olde Path Holiness Church on Highland Court around 8:40 p.m. Friday. They found Shoemaker, who was initially arrested on multiple outstanding warrants from Boyle and Lincoln counties, according to police.
“During the investigation, K-9 Petie gave positive indication for presence of narcotics in the vehicle,” a news release from Danville Police Department reads. “Officers located scales, multiple baggies, pills, drug paraphernalia, a concealed handgun and cash. The scales tested positive for methamphetamine.”
Shoemaker was being held in the Boyle County Detention Center on Sunday night.
