Danville Police seek suspects in more than 30 vehicle break-ins; Truck, firearm stolen from home in Perryville

There were reports of “a very large number of vehicle break-ins” Sunday night and early Monday morning according to Danville Police Chief Tony Gray.

The break-ins occurred in the Denmark Drive area, off of Cloverdale and Carrigan Drive behind Tractor Supply and Kroger. There were also many reports of break-ins in the Ben-Ali Drive area.

The police department is asking if any residents in the area have a Ring camera or other security videos to contact them in hopes of identifying the suspect or suspects. They should call (859) 238-1220 and ask for an officer. Tips can also be submitted via email at dpdtips@danvilleky.gov.

“Currently the police department is short staffed, and we need the community’s help in identifying possible suspects,” Gray said.

If you see suspicious activity from vehicles or people in progress, call 911 Gray said. And if they have information they may also call (859) 238-1220 and ask for an officer.

Gray reminded all residents that “This is the season where we must be vigilant with vehicles, lock doors at night and put valuables out of sight.”

The suspects are also being linked to a vehicle and firearm theft that occurred just outside of Danville in Perryville. The stolen vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet extended cab pickup with KY license plate number 395 YWJ.
