Stanford woman arrested on drug charges

Methamphetamine was discovered by Boyle County deputies during a traffic stop conducted Thursday.

A Stanford woman was arrested Thursday in Boyle County on drug-related charges.

Jessica Burton, 33, of Stanford, was arrested following a traffic stop by Boyle County Deputy Brandon Jewell and K9 Deputy Tanner Abbott. The deputies seized approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, along with cash.

Burton was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and active warrants.

She was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
